Over the next few weeks you will be learning how to write great narratives and we will look at the things you need to do to produce a really good story. The purpose of a narrative is to tell a story that entertains or gives a message about something. In this case, it is a message about bullying. Try to focus on the complication in the plot, incorporating an element of bullying. |

TIMED WRITING
PLAN: You will have five minutes to plan your writing. When you are planning, write your ideas in dot points.
WRITE: You will have 30 minutes to write your narrative. Use your plan to help you with the structure, ideas and language.
CHECK & CHANGE: You will have 10 minutes to proofread and edit your narrative. You will do this in a different coloured pen so your teacher can see what you have changed. When you proofread and edit, read your text carefully, check your spelling, punctuation and expression.

- "What have you done?" the principal bellowed.
